BGMI Banned In India; Then is What Google And Krafton Said

While there’s no sanctioned statement from the IT ministry yet, the BGMI game has been verified to be removed from both the Google Play store and the Apple App store.

After PUBG Mobile got banned in India, South Korean game inventor Krafton made a come back in the Indian request after a time by relaunching the same game with minor tweaks and named it Battle fields Mobile India or BGMI. But it seems like that BGMI too has been banned in India.

While there’s no sanctioned statement from the IT ministry yet, the BGMI game has been verified to be removed from both the Google Play store and Apple App store. Krafton has also verified the development and said, “ We’re clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play store and the App store and will let you know once we get specific information. ”

While the game has been removed from app stores, if you formerly have the game installed on your smartphone also you’ll still be suitable to play it till the time it’s possible.

Meanwhile, Google has officially said it has entered a sanctioned order from the government to remove the game. “ On damage of the order, following the established process, we’ve notified the affected inventor and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India, ” it said.

Battlefields Mobile India, the Indian interpretation of the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile lately crossed 100 million registered druggies in the country, just about a time after it was relaunched as BGMI after PUBG Mobile was banned by the government in India.

In February 2022, PRAHAR, an NGO prompted the government to block the Chinese gaming app BGMI- PUBG and add it to the list of 54 Chinese apps banned on February 14, 2022, saying its elision in the list is a “ clear lapse in judgment on part of the Government”.

PUBG Mobile was banned by the Government of India on September 2, 2020. Within ten months, it was relaunched as Battlefields Mobile India( BGMI). BGMI is the biggest among the Chinese apps that relaunched and rebranded with the same features and have managed to circumvent scrutiny.

To this, Minister of State for Electronics & IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar responded “ There are colorful reports and grievances entered in Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology( MeitY), conveying that apps that were blocked are appearing with new icons by using similar sounding names or rebranded with the same functionality. All similar reports and grievances have been encouraged to the Ministry of Home Affairs( MHA), the requesting agency, for examination. MeitY follows the due process as defined in the Information Technology ( Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Access of Information by Public) Rules, 2009 ″.

“ There was a media report that a child has killed his mama grounded on PUBG that he has been playing. This is a matter of disquisition by LEAs to find the reason. But, the PUBG gaming app was blocked by MeitY in the time 2020 and the PUBG game isn’t available in India since also, ” Chandrasekhar added.

A Krafton prophet said, “ We’re clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play store and the App store and will let you know once we get specific information ”. Google verified that it has taken the game down from its Play Store in India after informing Krafton. “ On damage of the order, following established process, we’ve notified the affected inventor and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India, ” a Google prophet said.
