Actor Nilakshi Kalita talks about difference between Mumbai’s and Assam’s work culture.

Nilakshi Kalita who was last seen in Star Plus’s popular show ‘Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar mein’ recently had a chat with us where she talked about her experience in the Mumbai Film Industry.
Nilakshi hails from Guwahati, Assam and before shifting to Mumbai she had done enormous amount of work in The Assamese film Industry as well. She worked in TV shows like Panchali, Oporadh Onuhondhan, Adalotor Hipare & Web Series such as ‘Memories of an Ant’. She shared with us what all differences she witnessed after she started working on Hindi Film Industry as well. She stated, “I always wanted to become a part of the entertainment industry as I used to watch lots of movies and serials while growing up. After completing my studies I opted for a diploma in acting and then started working in Assamese Film Industry which was filled with lots of experiences”.

Nilakshi Added “Recently I have shifted to Mumbai and have been part of some amazing projects like ‘Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar mein’, ‘Swaraj’, ‘Shehzada’ (Movie), & many more. The main difference that I have witnessed is that the audition culture or process which prevails in Hindi Film Industry. Whatever work I have done here was mainly through audition only and in Assam the audition or casting culture is only rising now slowly”.

Apart from that she also said that there are lots of good and bad things in both the industries but she only sees the good parts and tries to focus on her work only.

We wish her lots of success for her future projects.
